New Suzuki ACROSS hybrid

Suzuki have announced the launch of the all-new ACROSS plug-in hybrid, a robust and sporty SUV with electronic 4WD.  The ACROSS is the first model to be supplied by the Toyota Motor Corporation in a collaborative business agreement between Suzuki and Toyota with sales set to start in Autumn 2020.

The ACROSS has been designed as a tough SUV with a large open front grille and a striking polygonal body with distinctive wheel arch mouldings.  Powered by a sophisticated plug-in hybrid system that delivers superior fuel efficiency and low emissions of just 22g/km, the ACROSS offers a quick response, smooth acceleration and 4 wheel drive capability. 

Available in 6 different colours, the ACROSS evokes a sense of comfort and luxury with generous storage and advanced technology including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto plus safety features including Lane Trace Assist, a Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Rear Crossing Traffic Alert.

The plug-in hybrid system in the ACROSS incorporates a powerful front electric motor combined with a 2.5 litre petrol engine for rapid acceleration at higher speeds.  The electric motor draws its energy from a high capacity lithium ion battery mounted beneath the floor.  The ACROSS has four driving modes - EV for pure electric power with a driving range of 75 miles, EV/HV and HV when the petrol engine contributes and Battery Charger mode which runs the engine to recharge the battery.
